Julep Maven August Review

I was happy too see this pretty pink Julep box in the mail today.

When I looked over the boxes during the selection window, I honestly wasn't that thrilled with any of the colors or the 2 new beauty releases. I have acrylic nails so I try to keep them free of oils to prevent lifting, so the hand masks were not suitable for me :(  BUT, I was happy to see that I had enough jules to redeem and get the box free! So, of course I wanted it! I decided to go with "Classic with a Twist" because I kind of felt like I already had some of the other colors available.

This month Julep was celebrating their 2nd year! - Ive actually been with Julep since July 2012 so A LOT has definitely changed and I absolutely LOVE how they are progressing! Julep was my FIRST subscription box service and I wont be going anywhere, anytime soon!

I thought this months theme was really pretty, I love the pastel colors and floral detailing.

I also really love how Julep packages their boxes, I can tell they take their time and really care about what they send out! - I have never had an issue with missing, damaged or spilled products.

The first 2 items I got were of course nail polish. I received:

 Veronica -Modern mauve crème: $14.00
Sylvia - Lilac purple crème : $14.00

Doublestep Foot Treatment and Friction Stick: $22.00

The full size beauty product I received was the Doublestep Foot Treatment/ Friction Stick This no-mess shea butter treatment nourishes and moisturizes feet, stimulates circulation, and prevents blisters.

I wasn't too sure about this at first. Ive had similar products like it, and I just never seemed to use them, so I was kinda, just, meh... But then, my lotion wasn't by my bed one evening and I was like "hey, maybe this would be the perfect time to try out that julep stick?" .. and it was! I actually have been using it quite often and honestly, Ive noticed a difference in my heels! -They really seem to be a lot smoother than they normally are between pedicures!

Seeds Value: Unknown
The third item in this months box  was a lot different than their usual surprise item, but it fit very well with the whole "Garden Party" theme. I do actually plan on sprouting these inside by a window to see if I can get them to grow! - If so, id love to have them in a tiered planter on my front porch!

This box had a value of $50.
Its not one of my favorite boxes, but with my reward points I was able to get it absolutely FREE!
Julep awards its monthly box subscribers with 300 jules for each month they are subscribed, they also reward us 1000 jules for each new member we personally refer to them.
You can redeem your jules for product or free boxes!
