November 2013′s Maven collection debuts five new colors of Julep Lip Gloss. We’re pretty excited about these around the office. First of all, they’re so, so shiny. Secondly, they feel really good on your lips–they’re soft and hydrating. Not sticky or peely. Lastly, we haven’t yet found a color combination of skin tone + lip gloss shade that doesn’t look excellent.

Daring — sheer bright red luster

Glowing — sheer light pink

Timeless – sheer nude

Posh — sheer black honey

I hope we get matching lip liner with the gloss in this months box. That would be PERFECT!

Julep Maven October 2013 Review

This Month I decided to go with the Modern Beauty box. I also added on 3 polishes.

The first item I got was this Kajal Eye Glider. It is double ended with one side Carbon Black & the other Brown Shimmer. It also came with a really good quality sharpener.

I was really happy to get this eye pencil, I was in desperate need of a new one, and I love that its 2 in 1. I actually use brown on my lash line during the day so this was a huge score for me!

 The next thing I got was the Mask Noir, Ive kinda been obsessed with face masks lately and I knew when I saw it, I had to have it!

Here is me trying out the Mask Noir! Its a very thick face mask, I spent a good 10 min putting it on, little by little. It dried completely in about 15 min and It came off all in one piece. Its definitely a good quality mask. I have sensitive skin and I didnt have any issues with any of the ingredients. After the mask, my face is noticeably smoother.

The last 3 items are add-ons. The colors were just too cool to pass up! Ive been very conservative the the past few years doing my nails only in french. So, im really stepping out of my comfort zone!

Ooooohhhh :) 

I get my nails done every other week and Lucky for me, this months box arrived just before my appointment. I brought along my new colors to test out and this is what I went with! 

Then to finish off our October box, in the spirit of Halloween, Julep gave us some candy corn!

I think this was an awesome box! Julep is definitely at the top of my subscription box list! Im already anticipating the November colors and looking forward to the sneak peeks! 

What did you think of the mask? I saw a few people having some issues with it. Did you upgrade to the entire collection!? I wanted to.. But I have so many polishes from Julep, I decided id wait to see what next month brings and add on any I still cant bare to be without! :)

Wow, Julep is really out doing themselves! October is going to be another amazing month!

When you first sign up for Julep, you take a quiz to determine your Style. Each month Julep will send you the featured items that fit your profile. Between the 20th-24th you can preview the available items and switch to another style if you happen to like it better.

Julep Maven October Sneak Peek!!

I was trying to figure out what 

Juleps next beauty product would be, and surprise, surprise it IS one of the items I was thinking about! I've been with Julep for over 14 months and NEVER skipped getting my box! -Its just too fun! 

I was thinking back on my past box history and Julep introduced me to their awesome Mascara, I was trying to think of stuff they hadn't come out with yet, and eyeliner was on my list!

This is probably the most excited ive been about getting my Julep box. This is also the first time I've ever purchased add on items!

This month I decided to stay with my style profile: Boho Glam

I dont think ive selected another style for a few months now, which means Juleps quiz is really accurate!

It looks like Julep has done away with their large detailed card inserts. 

Bare Face Cleansing Oil - $28

I have never used an oil to cleanse my face so when I saw this in the monthly preview, I knew I had to have it! I really love the sleek design bottle. I only needed a few pumps of oil to cleanse my face, this will definitely last a long time. It does a really great job of breaking down my makeup and it rinses off well with warm water, I thought it would leave my face oily, but it doesnt, so thats awesome!  

This is the new way julep is packaging their polishes. I liked the colorful bags with ribbon, but the packaging doesnt bother me. I really just want what inside!

The Bonus item was a One-Step Polish Remover pad. Usually the bonus item is another full size item, but sometimes its just candy, so im not too disappointed, after all it is a BONUS item.

These were my 2 Add-on items! I love anything skincare so I knew I HAD to have the face sponge. And I  fell in love with the red polish, so I grabbed it for the special cost! :)
